Health and Child Protection?

This past week, when I read of the horrific conditions in which 3 young children were discovered, I was mortified.  Upon further investigation, it seemed that several people had attempted to intervene on behalf of these children for a number of months, but nothing was done, until just this past week-end.  When the children were finally rescued, the youngest was reportedly nonresponsive with a body temperature of 94°.  This took place in Seattle Washington.  http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2025624527_lakestevensabandonedkidsxml.html

Halfway across the country, it only took one anonymous complaint for the children of Hal Stanley to go into Arkansas State custody, and remain there, yet.  Looking for "evidence" some MMS was found in the Stanley home . . .

Meanwhile in Spokane a man is facing trial with the possibility of 37 years prison over MMS, the product that has not been reported to have caused anyone any harm . . .  He and his family were living in Oregon at the time of his arrest, so although the article doesn't give details of the daughter's custody, it does say it was a month before she saw her parents again.
